Real incomes of Belarus's population in 2026 are growing at a pace above forecasts.

In Belarus, thanks to the effective work of the economy, the population's income growth rates are outpacing. This was stated by Deputy Minister of Economy Elena Boligatova at a meeting of the National Council on Labor and Social Issues, as reported by BELTA in the ministry's press service.

As the deputy minister of economy noted, the growth rate of the population's real income for the seven months of 2026 amounted to 108.1%, which is significantly higher than the forecast.

The main driver of increasing citizens' incomes is wage dynamics. In real terms, from January to August it increased by 7.7%. The wage level of budget employees is growing even faster. "Increasing incomes allows people to behave more actively on the consumer market. Retail turnover for eight months of this year grew by 8.4% compared to the same period last year. The growth of the population's real income was also significantly contributed by government measures to curb inflation. Consumer prices in January–August, compared with the same period of 2025, rose by 5.1%. At the same time, as of August, one of the lowest inflation levels in the EAEU countries was recorded – plus 4.5%", said Elena Boligatova.
