The transport arteries of Bobruisk have undergone extensive renewal in recent years. Modernizing the city's infrastructure requires not only serious financial investments but also strict compliance with construction standards. The Inspection of the Department of Construction Control and Supervision of the Mogilev Region continuously oversees key objects of the city's transport infrastructure — the reconstructed bridge over the Berezina River on Georgievsky Prospekt (Fandokovsky Bridge) and the reconstructed overpass on Krylova Street near the railway station.

Construction and reconstruction of bridge structures are processes of high responsibility, where any error in technology or deviation from the project can have critical consequences. Therefore, the inspection employs strict supervision tools at all stages of work, implementing a comprehensive set of supervisory and preventive measures.

During the construction and installation works on these objects, inspectors carried out a total of 11 supervisory activities, of which 6 concerned the reconstruction of the Fandokovsky Bridge and 5 concerned monitoring of works on the Krylova Street overpass. The main purpose of these activities was the timely detection of hidden defects occurring during the installation of supports, erection of span structures, and laying of the bridge deck, before they could become a systemic threat to the load-bearing capacity of the structures.

Despite the high professionalism of the general contractor, supervisory activities identified a number of violations of technical regulatory legal acts and project documentation. Among the typical defects reflected in the inspection's prescriptions, the following stood out: violations in concrete works (improper curing of concrete during strength gain and deviations in the geometry of formwork for retaining walls), technological non-compliances in the waterproofing of the bridge deck, as well as shortcomings in the organization of construction production and maintenance of as-built documentation.

Principle position of Gosstroynadzor remains unchanged: behind every technology violation lies a specific executor. According to the results of conducted supervisory activities, in cases where violations were not rectified in a timely manner, administrative measures were applied — throughout the construction period, liability was imposed in the form of fines under articles 22.3 and 24.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Belarus for deviation from the production project and violation of construction norms; one official from the contracting organization was held responsible.

Thanks to such a strict approach, all defects were eliminated at early stages: works on the Fandokov Bridge and on the bridge along Krylov Street continue under strict control, guaranteeing Bobruisk residents the longevity of the renovated infrastructure.
