The Ministry of Taxes and Duties reminded about the rules for paying fees. First of all, from July 1, 2026, a minimum professional income tax has been introduced in Belarus. Its amount is 45 rubles per month.

The innovation concerns citizens who are registered but do not conduct activities. In addition, the rule affects taxpayers with low income. Thus, if the amount of tax on receipts is less than the minimum, you will have to pay the difference. For pensioners, the rate is lower — 18 rubles.

Liability for non-payment

The legislation tightens control over settlements. If the professional income tax is not paid for three consecutive months, the inspection will take measures. Consequently, the payer will be forcibly deregistered. At the same time, debts will be collected through enforcement bodies.

How to properly deregister

Many decide to cease their activities. In this case, you need to close the status yourself in the application. This can be done in the account settings section. However, simply deleting the app is not enough.

If the app is deleted without deregistration, it must be reinstalled. At the same time, the login can be restored remotely or at the inspection office. Following these rules will help avoid unnecessary charges. Thus, the current professional income tax requires careful attention to the payer's status.
