The State Control Committee of the Gomel region, together with local authorities, continues its work on bringing long-unfinished construction projects into order. Facilities whose construction was halted several decades ago are under special scrutiny. Measures have been taken on another such facility, to which the Committee repeatedly drew the attention of local authorities, in the urban settlement of Vasilevichi, Rechitsa district.
Thus, an unfinished five-story building with an area of more than 7,000 square meters has been demolished here. Construction work on the building stopped back in 1991. Since then, the building's structures have fallen into disrepair, and the facility became unsafe. At the same time, the large long-unfinished building was located near individual residential development, which made its dismantling difficult.
The materials obtained after the demolition and dismantling of the building are planned to be used for various purposes, including for road filling.
