The weekly planning meeting at the district executive committee began with the introduction of a new director. Elena Bychkova has been appointed director of the state enterprise "Lida Real Estate Center".

Elena Vasilyevna is a professional with extensive experience. She has worked as chief economist, chief accountant, and deputy director for economics at enterprises in Minsk and Lida. Elena Bychkova's last place of work was the open joint-stock company "Management Company of the Lidselmash Holding".

Introducing the new director, the head of the district, Alexander Versotsky, noted the responsibility and complexity of the new position, as well as Elena Vasilyevna's high professional competencies.

The chairman of the district executive committee expressed gratitude to the farmers. Alexander Versotsky thanked rural workers for the substantial results achieved during the harvest. However, there is no time to relax: the harvest results have been summed up, but farmers are not accustomed to resting on their laurels.

Special words of appreciation were addressed to the deputy chairman of the district executive committee, head of the Department of Agriculture and Food, Anton Mukhanyuk, heads of farms, and specialists of that department. The head of the district noted the worthy level of preparation of the Lida farmstead at the regional "Dozhinki-2026" festival in Korelichi: the decoration, presentation, and the region's calling card were excellent.

The first task set during today's meeting was to harvest the sunflower crops within a week. The next stage is high-quality drying of the harvest. To do this, it is necessary to mobilize all available forces to the fullest. The second task is to complete the sowing of winter crops by the end of the current week.

"I don't see problems in most of our farms. But in some there are issues," Alexander Versotsky stated. "If necessary, bring in outside help. The President demanded completion of these works during his trip around the Minsk region, and the same deadlines have been set by the chairman of the Grodno Regional Executive Committee."

Other tasks were also announced at the meeting: the built calf health centers are to be additionally equipped with video surveillance systems. The task of installing fuel consumption sensors on agricultural machinery remains relevant.

"Find funds for these needs - later the investments will return to you in the form of enormous savings in energy resources!" emphasized the head of the district.

The discussion also touched on the economy of the Lida district as a whole, with an emphasis on the accelerated development of the district.

"In the second quarter we significantly improved our positions, but there is still much work ahead. The result depends on how all sectors perform," the chairman of the district executive committee told those present.

The trade sector has gained good momentum. It is important not only to maintain it, but also to strengthen certain positions.

We discussed the preparation of equipment and materials for road treatment ahead of the autumn-winter period. As noted by Deputy Chairman of the District Executive Committee Andrei Bogdan, about 70 percent of this work has already been completed.

At the planning meeting, attention was focused on medical check-ups, as well as the availability of doctors and medical staff, and the prospects for resolving the staffing issue in healthcare over the next couple of years.

The agenda of the planning meeting included discussion of the work of garage cooperatives, tidying up their territories, and the conclusion of insurance service contracts. The outgoing year with its winds and hurricanes clearly demonstrated that insuring one's property is vitally necessary.
