— When I receive a bill for paying utility services, I often see that the water consumption is already listed, and it doesn't match my meter readings. Why does this happen?

Head of the Calculation and Reference Center of the city of Osipovichi, KUP “Mogilev Regional Center for Information Systems,” Olga Tretyak:
Meter readings must be submitted every month, even if the numbers haven't changed. This must be done during the payment of housing and communal services for the current month—by the 25th of each month. If you are late, penalties accrue at 0.3% per day.
These data are used to calculate payments for cold and hot water supply, as well as wastewater disposal, but for the following month.
What happens if the water meter readings are not transmitted or arrive late?
If the payment for the meters is not submitted on time, the consumer will automatically be charged an amount based on their average consumption over the last two months (paragraph 33 of the Ministry of Finance resolution dated 27.08.2025 No. 465 “On Calculations in the Housing and Communal Services Sector”). And if readings had not been transmitted before, the calculation will be based on the approved norms per person registered in the apartment. Later, when the consumer provides the actual meter figures, a recalculation will be made.
Often difficulties arise when correcting water meter readings through the ERIP system using mobile internet banking.
An example of how this is done. On the appropriate tab, press the “Info” button several times until the meter readings appear, and fill in the “Meter. Current value” field.
