The Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) has summed up the interim results of its regulatory and oversight activities for January–August 2026: inspections revealed systemic violations both in retail trade and in the sphere of pricing. This was reported by BELTA.

Particular attention was given to the DNS chain: 12 out of its 16 retail outlets were subjected to monitoring. Violations were found at every outlet, ranging from incomplete product information and missing price tags to failure to maintain the mandatory product range. In addition, products without certificates of conformity and goods past their expiration dates were found on sale. Following the inspections, 6 recommendations were issued along with 5 orders prohibiting the sale of unsafe products. Information about goods lacking certificates will be forwarded to Gosstandart (the State Committee for Standardization).

In the area of pricing, cases of exceeding the maximum allowable selling prices and wholesale markups were recorded. For example, the farming enterprise "Dubitsa-agro" (Minsk region) inflated markups on supplies of fruit and vegetable products to budget-funded organizations; as a result, the farm reimbursed the unlawfully obtained funds — approximately 88.1 thousand rubles. In the Gomel region, the foreign-investment production unit enterprise "APS" exceeded the maximum level of wholesale markups by up to 50% in supplying spare parts to the agricultural producer OJSC "Zhitkovichikhimservice"; an administrative process has been initiated against the responsible official.

Orders were also issued to 10 business entities (including OOO "LedSvet," OOO "OMA," OOO "RolfTreyd," and others) for the sale of goods whose import and circulation are prohibited in Belarus.

The statistics of control and analytical measures for the 8 months of 2026 demonstrate high activity on the part of the regulator: over 3.7 thousand facilities were inspected, more than 1.6 thousand recommendations were issued, and over 480 orders prohibiting the sale of goods were issued. In the area of pricing control, violations were identified at more than 220 entities, with the total amount of fines imposed exceeding 235.6 thousand rubles (including cases from previous years).
