Since October 1, an online firewood ordering service has begun operating in Belarus. It allows users to place and pay for firewood orders at forestry enterprises without visiting the forest offices—via the website drova.belgosles.by or through a dedicated Telegram bot, gp.by reported to the Ministry of Forestry.

Initially, the service allowed orders only for round firewood; later, the option to order split firewood became available at those forestry enterprises that produce it.
The new service also records and analyzes orders placed by traditional means. This helps the Ministry of Forestry track the timeliness and completeness of order fulfillment and intervene promptly when problems arise.
In October, Belarusians submitted more than 21,000 firewood orders totaling over 165,000 cubic meters. Most have already been fulfilled: 122,000 cubic meters have been shipped to consumers.
According to analytics, 94% of orders were for round firewood (19,774 orders), while 6% were for split firewood (1,257 orders).
More than 50% of all orders were placed in person by citizens visiting forest offices, another 25% were made by phone. About 20% of orders were placed via the new web platform drova.belgosles.by, and another 4% used the Telegram bot. The total number of citizens who used the new online service in October was nearly 5,000.
The highest activity came from residents of the Minsk and Gomel regions: in October they placed 5,128 and 4,997 orders respectively.
The Ministry of Forestry thanked citizens for their feedback on the online service. Shortcomings identified during its use were promptly examined and addressed.
