The regular weekly meeting at the Lida District Executive Committee began on a pleasant note. The head of the district, Alexander Versotsky, congratulated Marina Palchuk, First Deputy Head of the Agriculture and Food Department, on her birthday. Sincere words were addressed to Marina Leonidovna: a consummate professional, a responsible and purposeful person for whom the word "impossible" does not exist. She always sees through to the end any endeavor she starts. And, of course, she is a wonderful woman and a mother of three.

A new head was introduced to the district's active management. Ivan Shcherbachenia was recently appointed Director of Lidaagrotekhservis OJSC. Alexander Versotsky noted his extensive professional experience and offered parting words for his responsible position.

Moving on to operational issues, the head of the district emphasized that the calendar year is drawing to a close. In many areas, the district's economy has recovered and even exceeded targets. However, there are areas where it is necessary to step up efforts and reach the prescribed level.

"I ask you to make maximum efforts and improve those areas where there is a lag behind last year's figures or behind competitors," the chairman of the district executive committee tasked.

Plans for 2027 are currently being formulated. Alexander Versotsky urged the heads of enterprises and organizations to show initiative: "There is a level of issues where you can show initiative and persistence. We are a region of accelerated development, and this factor should be put at the forefront."

The meeting discussed the progress of work in agriculture. Potato harvesting is practically complete, and vegetable harvesting is at the finish line. Special attention was paid to the topic of milk, which is strategically important for the district. The situation on each farm was analyzed in detail: from herd treatment to housing conditions and diet. The introduction of rolled corn grain into the diet is under the control of the head of the district. Preparation for the winter-stabling period is also in full swing on all farms.

At the instruction of the head of the district, specialists from the sanitary and epidemiological service inspected the condition of mineral fertilizer warehouses in all agricultural organizations. Chief State Sanitary Doctor Elena Sadovskaya reported the result: 11 warehouses fully comply with the requirements. The Ditva branch of Lidakhleboprodukt OJSC and Gvidek LLC were noted, where not a single violation was detected. The rest had minor remarks. There are no flagrant violations, such as compromised roof sealing and moisture penetration inside the buildings.

A significant block of questions was devoted to restoring order. The monitoring of village Soviets is ongoing. This time, the Khodorovo village Soviet came into focus. Most of the identified violations related to the maintenance of abandoned residential houses and adjacent areas. The business entities were given corresponding instructions.

The sale of domestically produced goods remains under the control of local authorities. None of our citizens need to be convinced that Belarusian means best. Our own manufacturer must be supported—and this is a matter of principle. What is important here is not only the wide representation of domestic goods on store shelves, but also the conscious choice of every buyer.

The range of topics covered at the meeting included the staffing of enterprises. The discussion touched upon wage growth rates, the employment of individuals released from correctional facilities, and work with citizens' appeals. Each of these areas is under the close attention of the local authorities, which testifies to a genuine concern for the people and stability within the district's labor collectives.
