Choosing a future profession is one of the most responsible steps in every person's life. To help future graduates decide on their calling, the Belarusian State Order of the October Revolution and Labor Red Star Agricultural Academy (BGSHA) traditionally organize large-scale career guidance events. In this way, 11th-grade students of Secondary School No. 2 participated in the unique republican project "Become a Student for One Day"
The key moment of the program was the meeting of high school students with the head of the career guidance department of BGSHA, Alexander Medvednikov. The conversation took place in the format of an open and lively dialogue. Alexander Nikolaevich thoroughly told the 11th graders about the multifaceted structure of the country's oldest agricultural university, modern specialties, and the powerful material-technical base of the academy. Special attention was paid by the department head to innovations and key details of the upcoming introductory campaign:
– The "Become a Student for One Day" project is an excellent opportunity to break down the barrier between school and university, – noted Alexander Medvednikov. – We want the students not just to hear dry statistics, but to personally feel the unique atmosphere that reigns in the lecture halls and laboratories of BGSHA, and to make a conscious, correct choice.
Future graduates visited the specialized faculties of the academy, where they took excursions through modern teaching laboratories. High school students were able not only to sit at lecture desks but also to participate in practical sessions. Such "live" career guidance experience helps the students prioritize and approach the graduation and entrance exams confidently.
