On which days of the week do we work the worst? Analysis of productivity by biorhythms

Each of us has noticed that on some days tasks solve themselves, while on others even a simple email check turns into torture. Experts in chronobiology and organizational psychology agree: our productivity directly depends on the day of the week and time of day.

Let's examine how our internal resources are distributed over a standard five-day workweek and how to plan our tasks correctly.

Thursday and Friday: the toughest days

Many consider Monday the main "enemy" of productivity, but from a psychological perspective, Thursday and Friday are the most complex and ineffective days.

What happens: By the end of the week, the body accumulates physical and mental fatigue. On these days, attention concentration, short-term memory, and the ability to analyze complex information sharply decline.

What to do: Move routine tasks that don't require high precision to these days. Friday is ideal for tidying up your workspace, wrapping up the week, and planning the next one.

Monday: the "warm-up" day

Monday is also unsuitable for tackling global issues, but for a completely different reason.

What happens: After the weekend, the brain is in relaxation mode. Most employees need time to simply get into the work rhythm, so complex tasks in the first half of the day can cause strong stress and procrastination.

Tip for maximum efficiency: Try to isolate yourself from messengers and minor distractions from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Tuesday. You'll be surprised, but in these two hours you can get as much done as you would on an entire Thursday!
