In every specialist's calendar, there are dates that sum up years of dedicated work. For Voitekh Bernatsky (pictured), a fitter for the maintenance and repair of gas-consuming equipment at the Lida Production Department branch of the Grodnooblgaz Republican Unitary Production Enterprise, such a moment came with the recognition of his service: on the eve of the Day of Oil, Gas, and Fuel Industry Workers, he was awarded the honorary distinction "Honored Worker of the Gas and Fuel Industry."

This award stands behind 40 years of impeccable work, 35 of which have been devoted to the gas supply system. For a long time, Voitekh Yuzefovich worked in the emergency dispatch service — a place where every minute is measured in human lives. His biography also includes a special chapter: participation in the liquidation of the aftermath of the Chernobyl nuclear power plant accident, which became a vivid testament to the courage of this Lida resident and his readiness to come to the rescue in the most challenging circumstances.

Voitekh Yuzefovich himself admits: there is no room for chance in his line of work. Natural gas does not forgive mistakes, which is why the main principles in a specialist's work remain iron discipline and absolute responsibility. Today, the fitter combines vast experience with modern technologies. Highly precise gas analyzers make it possible to instantly detect and eliminate even the slightest leak.

Colleagues speak of Voitekh Yuzefovich with deep respect. Despite the many awards he has received, the Lida resident remains a modest person, devoted to his craft. For Voitekh Bernatsky, work is not merely a duty, but a daily contribution to the safety of our region.
