In Belarus, Wildberries marketplace customers have gained the ability to take out a loan from Belarusbank directly when paying for an order. The loan amount ranges from 200 to 50,000 Belarusian rubles.

The new payment method is already available to all users, – reports BelTA.

To use the new option, the customer simply needs to add items to the cart and, at the payment stage, select "Loan from Belarusbank". Then they must log in via the Interbank Identification System (IIS). After the application is approved, the order is considered placed.

The bank makes a decision within a few minutes — the client receives an SMS with a link to the contract form. The loan is provided without guarantors or insurance, subject to a penalty.

Funds are transferred electronically to the marketplace's account. If the customer decides to refuse the goods, obligations under the loan agreement are automatically terminated.

Vitaly Shiran, head of the fintech direction at Wildberries in Belarus, noted that users are increasingly interested in expensive long‑term use goods — household appliances, electronics, furniture.

Thanks to the partnership with the country's largest bank, purchasing these goods has become even more accessible and simple. There's no need to save for a long time — you can buy everything you need at any moment, – he emphasized.

Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Belarusbank Svetlana Kozhekina added:

For us it was fundamentally important to offer Belarusians the most accessible, understandable, and transparent terms without hidden fees. Our entry onto the largest marketplace is a matter of financial inclusion. Millions of customers, including many employees of budget organizations, large families, and pensioners, will be able to purchase necessary goods, effectively distributing the burden on the family budget thanks to the five‑year loan term.

Adding a new payment method will allow customers to buy expensive goods with a comfortable payment schedule, and marketplace sellers will increase the average check and conversion of orders.
