In Belarus, new requirements for the use of video recorders by control and inspection service personnel have come into effect. This was reported by BELTA from the Ministry of Transport.

The instruction was approved by the Order of the Ministry of Transport and Communications dated August 25, 2026, No. 43. The document regulates the procedure for conducting filming while performing official duties, the protection of passengers' personal data, and the rules for storing and accessing such information.

Employees are required to inform passengers about video and audio recording. Recording during the inspection of travel documents must be continuous. Protection of passengers' personal data must also be ensured.

Access to video and audio recordings is permitted only to a limited circle of persons. In addition, storage and usage periods for information from video recorders have been established.
