This year, in December, construction of a new overpass is planned to begin in the area of Korzhenevskogo Street in Minsk. The director of Gordorstroy, Sergei Panev, told a correspondent of the Minstk-Novosti agency about this.

One of the large-scale projects that Gordorstroy is working on is the extension of Chyurlenis Street (from Chyurlenis to Korzhenevskogo), which is connected with the reconstruction of part of the streets, including the area near the market near the 11th hospital.

In the area of Korzhenevskogo Street, an overpass will appear over the railway, the construction of which is planned to begin at the end of December. In terms of significance, it will be like the one being built over the railway within the boundaries of Kolosnikova and Timiryazeva streets, Sergei Panev clarified. Today, the scheme for the arrangement of beams has not yet been fully formed, since the object is complex: the structure will be located over the Kurasovshchinsky market, will pass over engineering networks that are connected to both water and heat supply. Therefore, the placement of the beams will depend on the position of these utilities. The length of the new structure will be around 300-350 meters, and we are trying to avoid high embankments in the city.

The director of Gordorstroy explained that when building a road 10-15 meters wide and an embankment height of 5-6 meters, due to the laying of slopes, it is necessary to retreat from the roadbed by another 10-15 meters towards the side.

This space under the overpass or near the overpass can be used effectively: organize parking spaces, which are lacking in Minsk, or improve the area itself, Sergei Panev noted. Moreover, the maintenance of long slopes - weekly mowing, cleaning of garbage and care for green plantings - is not cheap. It is much easier to maintain flat areas, and they can be used with greater benefit.

Two more overpasses will appear in the capital in the near future: over the Chizhovskoe reservoir and in the area of Serova and Pavel Shpilevsky streets. Sergei Panev also told about this.

This is a large-scale project that will entail a whole complex of related tasks. In particular, the output of the southern highway through Asanaliyev Street and the construction of a full-fledged intersection will be ensured. It is necessary to completely rebuild the transport scheme of approaches to the industrial zone, where the Rybokomplex and Keramin are located, Sergei Panev noted.

In the near future, a full-fledged bridge will appear over the Chizhovskoe reservoir - this is the extension of Malyinina Street towards Loshitsa.
