Belarus is ready to attract Russian investments for the construction of new sanatorium and resort facilities. This was discussed in Moscow at the international practical conference of the health tourism leaders club.

Currently, the package of proposals includes about 10 sites for development. The investment lots are located in the Minsk, Mogilev, and Vitebsk regions. The National Tourism Agency already has several developments and forward-looking agreements with Russian partners. If new projects are implemented, investors will not need to invest in additional advertising; the level of our health resorts is well known, plus a favorable package of benefits will be offered.

Denis Bezhok, deputy director of the National Tourism Agency: All kinds of benefits, land tax breaks, a very good credit product, the quality and accessibility of our medicine, the level of our doctors, material and technical base, natural healing factors, mud therapy, mineral waters. We have sources that are not even found in Europe, but we have them in Belarus. A good room stock, affordable, quality food, Belarusian cuisine.

All this, tour operators believe, should help generate an additional influx of clients to already operating health resorts. More than eighty percent of Belarus's export of tourism services goes specifically to Russia, and there is still potential. Industry market experts discussed improving service across the entire tourist support chain. The focus is primarily on digital interaction: convenient and clear booking of accommodation, ticket purchases, route search, ordering excursions and wellness programs.
