Searching for one's life's work is a responsible matter. And here it would be very fitting to know that our country has an effective state program capable of supporting those who have decided to change their place of residence for the sake of a new job. This initiative helps unemployed citizens move to where they are awaited not just by vacancies, but also by guaranteed housing, while the state provides significant financial support. We talked about how this mechanism works, who can access it, and what bonuses await resettlers with the deputy head of the department for labor, employment and social protection of the district executive committee, Hanna Karol.

– The topic of professional mobility and the possibility of finding a job with relocation always sparks interest. Please tell us, what is the essence of this state program and who is it primarily aimed at?
– Indeed, the topic is very lively. Life does not stand still, and a person’s desire to develop and seek new horizons is wonderful. The state program to promote employment of the population was created precisely to help people at such a moment. It allows linking the interests of a person looking for work with the possibility of relocation, and enterprises in other parts of the country that need specific specialists and are ready to offer them good conditions. This is an excellent joint project: a person gets a guaranteed job, a salary, and a roof over their head, and regions get the necessary personnel for development.

• Who exactly can use this program? What are the main conditions a citizen must meet?
  – The most important and mandatory condition is that a person must be officially registered as unemployed with the labor, employment, and social protection office at their place of residence. If a citizen is registered and cannot find suitable work in their place of residence, or if they want to radically change their situation, we offer a relocation option. If a family moves where both husband and wife are unemployed, work is found for both and assistance is provided to both.
• Housing is the most painful issue for everyone. What kind of housing is offered to relocators and on what terms?
  – This is one of the most attractive points of the program. Job options are offered only from organizations and enterprises that are ready to provide housing. Most often these are offers in rural areas – in agrotowns and settlements where specialists are badly needed. Depending on the region and the specific enterprise (for example, a large agricultural holding or a forestry enterprise), it can be either a separate well-appointed house of a homestead type, or an apartment, or a room in a hotel-type dormitory. Living conditions and the status of the housing (rental, departmental) are discussed before moving; everything is transparent.
• Which professions are most in demand under this program today? Who is expected in other districts and regions?
  – The range is wide, but the greatest demand, of course, is in the agricultural sector, social sphere, and manufacturing.
