Today, in this structural unit of the Osipovichi Experimental Forestry, 4,000–4,500 cubic metres of commercial timber (mostly pine and spruce) are processed each month, and about 1,500 cubic metres of finished products are produced, which are in demand across various sectors.

Here you can purchase milled, sawn products, profile parts (boards for floor covering, paneling for block houses), and split firewood. In addition to the domestic market, over 70 % of the products manufactured by the Lipensky workshop are exported. For the public, wood‑processing products are sold both directly on the workshop premises, based on the “here and now” availability, and at the “Forest House” marketplace in Bobruisk. Split firewood can be ordered by locals year‑round, and this type of fuel is also purchased by legal entities in the district. Firewood is in high demand! As for various lumber, in this case most of the finished sawn products are sold for export.

The stable operation of the Lipensky workshop is ensured by a team of 80 people. Among them are 32 machine operators of woodworking machines and 11 lumber stackers. Everyone directly involved in production works on a “two‑on, two‑off” shift schedule of 12 hours per day. Notably, there are also a dozen women among those working with timber, and they perform their tasks admirably. For example, a tandem of a machine operator and a stacker processes 2,044 boards per shift—about 15.5 tonnes of products! By the way, the longest tenure at the enterprise (29 years) belongs to machine operator Victoria Shlykovskaya, and her colleague Oleg Vysotsky is just a little behind with 22 years. Of course, the workshop also hires young specialists: this year five of them joined

The experience of the Lipensk timber‑processing workshop once again demonstrates that a sound exploitation of natural resources can simultaneously support the economy of the forest estate and the district, strengthen ties with foreign partners, and serve the interests of the local population, as the workshop provides many jobs. Behind the achieved results stands a cohesive team, in which the experience of mentors today continues in the form of a new generation of specialists.
