Developing Bobruisk’s tourism potential is an important element of regional investment policy. Building modern infrastructure focused on domestic tourism has become a key task within the implementation of the entrepreneurship support initiative. Developing tourism services not only makes the city more attractive to visitors, but also creates new jobs, strengthening the region’s economic potential.
During a citywide cleanup event, Bobruisk City Executive Committee chairman Maxim Gurin visited the construction site of LLC “GK Expert-OPT” at 85 Lyncova Street, where final work on the new modern recreation base “Expert” is in full swing.
The visit underscored the project’s importance to the city: today local authorities actively support businesses ready to invest in the hospitality industry and high‑quality service for Bobruisk residents and tourists.
The construction of the new tourism facility is a vivid example of successful implementation of an investment project under the financial product “Tourism Potential.” The project is included in the relevant list of the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs, which enabled the attraction of preferential investment financing. The initiative is being carried out with the support of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Belarus as part of the state program to unlock regional tourism potential.
As noted by the organization’s commercial director Igor Makovich, the realization of such a large‑scale project was made possible by close and constructive cooperation with city authorities:
– We work in close coordination with the Bobruisk City Executive Committee, the departments of economy and architecture, as well as the banking sector. This is truly a joint project of business and city authorities, – emphasized Igor Makovich. – During the visit we showed Maxim Gurin what has already been done and what final touches remain, and we thanked the city leadership for their cooperation. The mayor liked the overall concept. He set tight deadlines. We assured him that everything is proceeding strictly according to schedule. The official presentation of the recreation base is already scheduled for November 13.
The main uniqueness of the “Expert” base lies in its location and modern format. The complex spans a landscaped area of about one hectare in the picturesque forest‑park zone of the Yeloviki district. It is an untouched nature enclave right within the city limits.
Tourism and leisure infrastructure are the city’s calling card, an impression of it that cannot be separated from the overall economy, explains concept developer Igor Makovich. For our culture, the traditional and beloved form of leisure is a trip into nature with a close circle of friends, cooking over an open fire, and a sauna. But usually such a getaway requires traveling far from the city, spending time on the road and dealing with complex logistics. Our idea is fundamentally different: we are only 500 metres from the city bus stop!
The recreation base’s territory is divided into 15 autonomous smart zones, each enclosed by a tall wooden fence in the popular eco‑loft style made from unbleached boards. Here are set up spontaneous picnic areas: cozy covered pavilions and equipped barbecue complexes, as well as sauna complexes.
Now the site is being polished to the final touch and a service base is being established.
The opening of the “Expert” base will be another significant step in developing Bobruisk’s tourist appeal, proving that high‑quality countryside relaxation can be affordable, eco‑friendly, and right next to home.
