Starting April 22, the National Bank is putting into circulation coins “Minsk Tractor Works. 80 Years” — the first commemorative coins minted in Belarus at JSC “Gomel Production Association Kristall” — the management company of the Kristall-Holding holding. This was reported by the National Bank’s press service.

In particular, a silver coin will be put into circulation with a face value of 20 rubles, weighing 31.1 g, with a diameter of 38.6 mm, alloy fineness 999.9, and a mintage of 2,000 pieces. Also a nickel silver coin — face value 1 ruble, weight 22 g, diameter 38.6 mm, mintage of 3,000 pieces.

Nickel silver has been used for the first time in the minting of Belarusian coins. It is a corrosion-resistant alloy of copper with nickel and zinc, resembling silver in appearance.

The coins are circular in shape, with a raised rim around the circumference on both the obverse and reverse sides. The edge of the coins is reeded.

On the reverse of the coins, in the center on the right, there is an image of a tractor; in the center on the left, the inscription: “80 BELARUS 1946 — 2026, MINSK TRACTOR WORKS.”

The National Bank will announce the date the coins go on sale separately.

The coin put into circulation is legal tender of the Republic of Belarus and must be accepted at face value for all types of payments without any restrictions.
