On the eve of the regional 'Dazhynak-2026', a journalist from the newspaper 'Novy Den' met with Alexander Burvel, Deputy General Director for Industrial and Agricultural Production of RUE 'Gomeloblgas', and Igor Klimenko, Director of the SEU 'Antonovka-Agro' of RUE 'Gomeloblgas'. They spoke about what lies behind the success of the agricultural enterprise and what tasks the farm sets for itself.

Foundation of Stability

More than 20 years ago, 'Antonovka-Agro' as a separate structural unit was incorporated into RUE 'Gomeloblgas'. Since then, the enterprise has undergone a large-scale transformation: year after year,

The area of feed crops amounts to 2400 hectares. To improve the ration, high-yielding varieties of lucerne, corn, and perennial grasses, as well as quality biological preservatives, are used. For the first time in the enterprise, peat humates and granulated nitrogen fertilizers with high sulfur content have begun to be used.

Technical equipment should not be neglected. Only for 2025 did the fleet receive 32 units of new machinery. For example, six-meter seeding cultivators APK-6000 enable mechanizers to sow up to 100 hectares of fields daily. The best results in yield were achieved on winter crops: triticale - 54.6 tons/hectare, wheat - 52.6 tons/hectare, rapeseed - 37.6 tons/hectare.

People - the main resource

For more than six years SPU "Antonovka-Agro" has been led by Igor Klimenko. He started his working career as an agronomist in the Hoynik district, while simultaneously pursuing higher education at the Belarusian State Agricultural Academy. In 2017, Igor Evgenievich moved to the position of chief agronomist at SPU "Antonovka-Agro", and three years later took charge of the enterprise. In 2025, for his long-term effort and personal contribution to the development of agriculture, he was honored with a Certificate of Appreciation from the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Turcin.

  • The success of the farm - above all

The agricultural enterprise does not intend to stop at what has been achieved and is already drawing up plans for the future: to increase meat and milk production, to raise yields. To this end, it plans to introduce new production facilities, further mechanize processes, and acquire high‑performance, energy‑intensive equipment. In the crop rotation, the share of highly profitable crops will be increased: winter rapeseed, soy, and white lupin. And at the MTK “Tsyper”, reconstruction of premises for dry cows is planned, together with the construction of a modern preventive health center for calves.
