Sergey Yarets presents Tatiana Alekseenko with a certificate of her name being added to the district Hall of Fame.
The profession of a cook is one of the most in-demand in the world. There is a common saying that the best chefs are men. However, in our country, women are preferred for this profession. Among them is our interviewee – the head of production at the canteen of the “Zhlobin Electric Networks” branch of the GOMELENERGO RUP, Tatiana ALEKSEENKO.
Calling – culinary
This year, Tatiana Grigoryevna's name was added not only to the company's Hall of Fame but also to the district Hall of Fame.
Behind our heroine are more than thirty years of impeccable work in the culinary arts. Her interest in cooking began in the village of Pirevichi (now an agritown). It defined her entire future.
A new important milestone in Tatyana Alexeyenko's biography was 1999, when she started working at the Zhlobin meat processing plant. Over seventeen years of working at the enterprise, she has made her way up the career ladder - from a cook to the head of production. Meanwhile, our heroine has never stopped at what she has achieved. Understanding that to conquer new heights, it is necessary to constantly accumulate the experience of colleagues and hone her skills, she decided to get another specialized education.
This knowledge opened up new horizons for her: in 2016, Tatyana Grigoryevna headed the team of the canteen of the Zhlobin electrical networks. For a whole decade, she has been taking care of the full-fledged diet of energy workers and Zhlobin residents, offering them a diverse and homemade menu with an emphasis on unique dishes of Belarusian national cuisine.
I have known and loved our Belarusian cuisine since childhood. After all, it's not just draniki and machanka, it's also kolduny and babka, kroupnik and kholodnik, nalistniki and dzmukhovtsy, a multitude of dishes made from poultry, mushrooms, beans, as well as homemade sausages and vereshchaka. The list is very long! That's why for the workers of the enterprise, we constantly include their favorite national dishes in the menu. Moreover, our team has been participating in the annual Belarusian Cuisine Week for many years. For me, personally, it was a very interesting and enlightening experience to participate in the professional skills competition for bakers and confectioners "Konditer FEST". It's nice to realize that last year I became the winner in the nomination "Confectionery Art", Tatyana Grigoryevna shares, noting that her favorite profession is an important part of her life.
Colleagues know our heroine as a demanding but incredibly dedicated master of her craft. Tatyana Alexeyenko's daily work is hundreds of servings of hearty dishes, each of which contains a piece of homemade warmth. And although this field of activity requires a specialist to have colossal energy, physical endurance, and responsibility, there is always room for fantasy, creativity, and inspiration.
Anyone can master the profession of a cook, but only those who turn the result of their work into real art can achieve the heights of mastery and become a high-class specialist. Tatyana Alexeyenko undoubtedly succeeds in this.
