MTS is opening access to 5G internet for its subscribers in Grodno. Thus, the technology becomes available in six major cities, paving the way for speeds of up to 1 Gbit/s and higher with minimal latency.
5G in Grodno will be rolled out in stages. Initially, the fifth‑generation network is available in selected locations, allowing subscribers to test the technology’s benefits.
You can connect to 5G near the Grodno State Agrarian University and the Grodno State Technical College, in the area of Proletarskaya Street, as well as near the main building of the Grodno State Medical University. In the coming months, the service area will expand significantly: coverage will reach the city centre, residential micro‑districts, social facilities, and popular recreation spots.
The fifth generation provides higher bandwidth and minimal response time. As a result, movies and series play without buffering, cloud games respond instantly, video calls run smoothly without interruptions, and large files download without delays.
MTS subscribers have had access to 5G internet since the beginning of April. The network is being developed in cooperation with beCloud, which provides access to the infrastructure. The technology is supported by more than 1,100 base stations in six cities. The service area covers over 400 square kilometres.
