Funds of more than 40 million rubles have been allocated this year to small and medium-sized enterprises for the implementation of projects included in the 'Regional Initiative' program. This was announced by Petr Arushanyants, General Director of the Belarusian Fund for Financial Support of Entrepreneurs, on the ONT television channel, as reported by BELTA.

As Petr Arushanyants noted, demand for financial support from small and medium-sized businesses this year is much higher than in previous periods. 'In the first nine months of this year we provided financial support amounting to more than 40 million rubles, which is 2 million rubles more than for the entire previous year. Moreover, 60% of the projects are from regions that actively participate in such an investment platform as the Regional Initiative. More than 600 projects have gone through the platform in 2026,' he said.

In 2027, the fund plans to work even more actively with entrepreneurs and legal entities, focusing on the digitalization of projects. 'Next year we want to further strengthen the digitalization of processes: work is underway on a national platform for small and medium-sized businesses. We see that demand for support and its digital form is high, which primarily speeds up processes, makes them simpler and clearer, and also contributes to the implementation of investment ideas and tasks,' emphasized Petr Arushanyants.
