On October 20, 2026, the Rosselkhoznadzor Administration for the Bryansk, Smolensk, and Kaluga Regions, together with employees of the Bryansk Customs, stopped a vehicle with a batch of quarantine products of high phytosanitary risk near the Belarusian border. The cargo was detained and transferred to a temporary storage warehouse of the Four Principles LLC for control measures, reports gp.by with reference to the press service of Rosselkhoznadzor.
The vehicle was traveling to the Russian Federation from the Gomel Region with food potatoes weighing more than 25 tons in total, packed in 918 polymer bags. The movement was carried out without phytosanitary accompanying documents.
Laboratory phytosanitary expertise by the Bryansk branch of the Russian Research Institute for Animal Health did not reveal any harmful quarantine organisms in the samples taken. Despite this, the further movement of the cargo to the territory of Russia was stopped, and the product was returned to the place of shipment.
The carrier was brought to administrative responsibility under Article 10.2 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation.
