Monetary and credit policy‑2027: Lukashenko approved guidelines for the National Bank and the economy

President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko signed a decree approving the target indicators of monetary and credit policy for 2027. The document is aimed at creating conditions for sustainable economic growth.

The list of indicators corresponds to the key tasks of the National Bank and the banking system: to promote economic growth while maintaining price and financial stability.

The decree sets the following parameters:

  • growth of consumer prices – not more than 6%;
  • volume of international reserve assets – not less than 12.8 billion US dollars (this is the most important indicator of the country's economic security and financial stability);
  • share of non-performing assets of banks in assets exposed to credit risk – not more than 10% (such a level is intended to ensure the stability of the banking system);
  • growth of the volume of investment financing – not less than 13% (to support investment lending).
