Mogilev City Emergency Service announces recruitment for contract service: who is expected in the ranks of rescuers and what benefits the state guarantees

Maria Yurchenko 08.09.2026 In the Mogilev City Department for Emergency Situations (ГОЧС), recruitment for contract service has begun. The rescue agency invites determined and physically fit young people.

Citizens of the Republic of Belarus up to 28 years old, without health contraindications or criminal records, are accepted for service. Currently the following positions are open:

• Firefighter (requires good physical condition and readiness to work in extreme conditions); • Driver (must have a driver's license with the right to operate category “C” vehicles).

Social package and service conditions

Service in the units of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Belarus provides employees with a full set of social guarantees and benefits:

• Replacement of compulsory service: a contract with the Ministry of Emergency Situations counts as a substitute for compulsory military service in the Armed Forces; • Work schedule: shift system – one day on, two days off (24 hours on duty, 48 hours off); • Financial support: stable and decent salary, as well as monetary compensation for housing expenses (rent); • State guarantees: free provision of uniform and equipment, comprehensive medical care in departmental health facilities; • Leave and pension: extended annual paid leave, right to preferential pension benefits with early retirement.
