Mogilev Region and Shaanxi Province: Potential for Interregional Ties Expands

Today, a delegation of the Dnieper Region led by Anatoly Isachenko, Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee, visited the Xi'an Operating Company for the Construction and Operation of the Free Trade Zone as part of its visit to the People's Republic of China.

The Xi'an company is a state-owned enterprise that, in particular, is involved in the operation of China–Europe freight trains. According to key indicators, the company holds leading positions in the country. It is linked to Belarus through joint promotion of the railway terminal project in the China–Belarus Industrial Park "Great Stone".

Also held was a meeting between the head of Mogilev Region and Zhao Gan, Chairman of the People's Government of Shaanxi Province. The sides discussed specific tasks based on recent high-level agreements.

As Anatoly Isachenko noted, today the focus is on trade-economic and investment cooperation. Among the key tasks are filling the new roadmap with projects and signing it in 2027 at the Belarus–China Regions Forum.

Representatives of the Dnieper Region familiarized themselves with the work of Xi’an Aiju Grain and Oil Industrial Group—a major Chinese corporation specializing in deep grain processing, vegetable oil and flour production—and also participated in a business forum between economic entities of Mogilev Region and Shaanxi Province, during which a number of contracts were signed.
