
Mogilev and East Kazakhstan Regions: Mutual Interest in Deepening Interregional and Trade-Economic Relations

Republican Holiday XXXIII Day of Belarusian Written LanguageThe official visit of the Mogilev Region delegation, led by Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Isachenko, to Kazakhstan is underway.
Today, an official meeting took place with Akim of East Kazakhstan Region Nurymbet Saktaganov. The parties discussed issues related to the development of trade-economic, agro-industrial, industrial, and cultural-humanitarian ties. Special attention was given to strengthening direct contacts between enterprises of the two regions, organizing business missions and working visits, as well as implementing joint projects.
As Anatoly Isachenko emphasized, the Mogilev Region exports a wide range of products to Kazakhstan: tires, agricultural machinery and spare parts for it, elevators, particle boards, furniture, dairy products, beef, poultry meat, and other goods. The Dnieper region purchases wheel sets from Kazakhstan for the Osipovichi Transport Engineering Plant, equipment for sorting and crushing soil for Mogilevobldorstroy, vaccines and serums for the company "Belfidagro," and more.
Anatoly Mikhailovich expressed interest in deepening interregional and trade-economic relations with the East Kazakhstan Region.
For his part, Nurymbet Saktaganov noted:
— Relations between Kazakhstan and Belarus are friendly and constructive in nature. Today it is important to fill them with concrete content at the interregional level — to expand direct contacts between enterprises, find new points of interaction, and launch joint projects.
Of particular interest is the exchange of experience and the establishment of direct contacts between enterprises of the two regions. Therefore, a proposal was voiced to intensify bilateral negotiations, organize business missions, and mutual visits of business delegations.
Following the meeting, the heads of the two regions signed a memorandum, an action plan, and a roadmap on trade-economic, scientific-technical, and cultural cooperation for 2026—2028. Agreements were also signed between the Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the East Kazakhstan Region "Atameken" and the Mogilev Branch of the BelCCI; the Social-Entrepreneurial Corporation "Ertis" and the FEZ "Mogilev."
A number of cooperation agreements between enterprises of the two regions were also signed.
