Daria Evers Mariam Tabagari 09.09.2026 Today, near the agro-town of Vorotyn in Bobruisk district, the grand opening of a new dairy complex for 756 head of dual-purpose herd took place at the Vorotyn branch of OJSC Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Assemblies. This event became an important milestone not only for the enterprise, but for the entire Mogilev region, symbolizing confident progress in the development of agriculture.

The grand opening was attended by Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Kuznetsov, First Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Sergei Savitsky, Chairman of the Bobruisk District Executive Committee Alexander Kavranin, and other honored guests.

The history of this large-scale project began in the spring of 2025. The decision to build was made at a high level — with the support of the Ministry of Industry and the governor of the Mogilev region. As early as May 25, 2025, work was in full swing on the site, and in less than a year and a half, the ambitious plan took on real shape.

As Igor Fateev, director of OJSC Bobruisk Plant of Tractor Parts and Assemblies, said, the modern complex is designed for 756 dairy cows and includes five key structures: two spacious cow barns; a milking block; a calving unit; and a calf nursery.

According to Minister of Industry of the Republic of Belarus Andrei Kuznetsov, it is the modernization of the agro-industrial complex that will become the driver of rural development.

He cited the new dairy complex in Bobruisk district as an example.

"If previously a similar production facility required the labor of 70 people, the modern facility is operated by about 30 specialists. Through the introduction of automation and advanced technology, not only a reduction in costs but also an increase in profitability is forecast," the minister emphasized. "Gross milk yields will increase by at least a quarter, and quality indicators will improve to the 'extra' level, which will bring additional funds that will allow further development of agriculture."

First Deputy Chairman of the Mogilev Regional Executive Committee Sergei Savitsky emphasized that in recent years the new dairy complex has become one of the best projects aimed at developing livestock farming in the region.

This is a full-cycle complex with all the necessary equipment that will allow the enterprise to keep moving forward,” said Sergey Konstantinovich. “Today this facility enables us to perform all livestock operations in a technologically advanced and proper manner. Conditions have been created not only for the animals that generate income for the enterprise’s economy, but also for the workers, whose labor will be eased by mechanization. Most importantly, we have achieved the targets set by the President and obtained results in the form of increased milk production volumes and higher milk yield per cow.

Sergey Savitsky also said that 17 dairy complexes are currently under construction in the region. Five dairy complexes are planned to be commissioned by the end of the year.
