To achieve a trade turnover of $2 billion by 2030, it is necessary to develop industrial cooperation and strengthen direct links between the regions and business circles of Belarus and Uzbekistan. This is stated in the greeting of the President of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev, delivered during the plenary session of the Uzbekistan-Belarus Interparliamentary Forum, as reported by BELTA correspondent.

Lukashenko sent greetings to the participants of the Uzbekistan-Belarus Interparliamentary Forum.

"Today, Uzbekistan and Belarus are successfully cooperating in industry and agriculture, trade and investment, transport and logistics, science, education, health care, culture and tourism," the greeting states.

It notes that, according to last year's results, the volume of mutual trade has approached $1 billion. "Our common task is to double this figure by 2030. To achieve this goal, it is important to more actively use the complementary capabilities of our economies, develop industrial cooperation, and strengthen direct links between the regions and business circles of the two countries," said the President of Uzbekistan.

The head of state noted that women entrepreneurs are actively participating in this work. They are successfully mastering new markets, introducing modern technologies, and developing in-demand production and services.

Shavkat Mirziyoyev emphasized that the Uzbek and Belarusian peoples are bound by strong ties of friendship, mutual respect, and trust. In recent years, relations between the countries have become even more dynamic and filled with new practical content.

"A significant event was the signing on July 9 of this year of the Declaration on the Establishment of Strategic Partnership Relations. This important document and the action plan for the development of trade-economic and socio-humanitarian cooperation for 2026-2030 have set long-term guidelines for our interaction," the greeting states.

The rich program of the current forum includes promising areas of industrial cooperation and investment, agro-industrial complex and biotechnology, digital solutions, tourism, and socio-humanitarian interaction. The President of Uzbekistan noted that the forum's final decisions will serve as an effective basis for further joint work.
