A truck of a Kazakh carrier, which according to accompanying documents contained a consolidated cargo weighing 20.5 tons, arrived for clearance at the PTO "Minsk-TLC-2" from Kazakhstan.

Customs officers doubted the accuracy of the declared information after analyzing the image obtained by scanning the contents using an inspection and examination complex.

Upon further inspection, it was established that more than half of the goods, namely about 360,000 units of clothing and footwear, auto parts, electrical equipment, kitchen utensils and other items, were listed in the documents under different names.

The value of the illegally imported goods amounted to more than 3.3 million Belarusian rubles. Declaring false information about them would have saved over 220,000 Belarusian rubles in customs duties.

Based on this fact, customs initiated an administrative proceeding against the carrier in accordance with Part 1 of Article 15.5 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Republic of Belarus. The sanction of the article provides for a fine of 30% of the value of the subject of the administrative offense.
