Milk production for the district’s agricultural enterprises is a reliable foundation of financial well‑being. The logic is simple: as volumes and product quality increase, the economies of the farms strengthen, meaning that livestock keepers can expect a fair reward for their work. That is why daily monitoring of yields and the productivity of the milking herd is an integral part of the work of specialists and managers at all levels.

The KSP "Byvalki" saw an increase of 359.1 tons (+40.1%), with cow productivity rising by 49.2%. The steady monthly growth indicates a well-structured system.

And how are things at KSP "Malinovka-Agro"?

This agricultural enterprise is confidently moving towards increasing production. From January to August, it ensured an increase of 238.7 tons (+11.3%) compared to the same period last year. The milk yield per cow grew by 253 kg (+13.8%). The livestock industry is showing a steady, progressive dynamics - precisely this stability is valuable for fulfilling annual tasks.

Producing milk is only half the job. How are things with sales?

Here, the results are no less convincing. From the beginning of the year to September, the district's farms sold 19,411.1 tons of milk - 1,960.7 tons (+11.2%) more than in the same period of 2025. In August, 2,613 tons were sold - 16.4% higher than last year's level.

The leader here is OAO "Urozhainy", which sold 8,654.7 tons (+12.9%). Significant growth in sales volumes was demonstrated by KSP "Sovkhoz Zarya" (+89.8%) and KSP "Byvalki" (+47.5%). KSP "Malinovka-Agro" increased sales by 8.5%, and OAO "Kolpen-Agro" by 3.3%.

Marketability is also growing. In August, it reached 94.7% in the district, which is 1.9 percentage points higher than in August 2025. The highest value was recorded in OAO "Kolpen-Agro" - 96.7%, as well as in KSP "Sovkhoz Zarya" - 96.1%. The farms are not only increasing milk production but also more effectively directing products for processing.

The dairy direction is an unconditional priority. But what about the meat direction? How did the livestock breeders work on the production of livestock?

The meat direction is also developing. The gross production of livestock in the district for eight months was 1,235.2 tons, which is 102.5% of last year's level. The average daily gain from the beginning of the year is 563 grams. The August result is 640 grams per day, which is +30.3% compared to August 2025.

The leader is OAO "Urozhainy" - 736 grams from the beginning of the year, and in August - 849 grams (+17.8%), in OAO "Kolpen-Agro" - 687 grams, in August - 751 grams (+28.2%).

And what are the results for herd reproduction?

The cattle population growth in the district for 8 months was 3,949 heads - 99 heads (+2.6%) more than in the same period last year. The best result is in KSP "Malinovka-Agro": 888 heads (+26.7%). KSP "Byvalki" also increased by 12.8% - 546 heads. Stable reproduction is the foundation on which future productivity is built.

Numbers are backed by people and technologies. What lies at the basis of the achieved results?

— First and foremost, this is the strengthening of the material and technical base. This year, four calf profilactoriums and three silage and haylage trenches have been built in the district, because even an excellent harvest of feed crops is difficult to preserve without reliable storage facilities.

The second key factor is a reliable feed base. To create it, the areas under feed crops have been expanded, the re-allotment of lands has been carried out, and work with annual and perennial grasses has been intensified, etc. The human resource is no less significant. Machine milking operators, livestock handlers, zootechnicians, and veterinarians — the final result depends on their daily professionalism. In each subdivision, teams have been formed that are capable of solving the tasks set.

— If we continue to work at the given pace, the annual parameters will be ensured. Ahead of us is the autumn-winter period, when the herd is transferred to stall housing. Our task is to smoothly pass through this transition and maintain the positive dynamics. We have all the prerequisites for this: feed reserves are being built up, farms are prepared, and teams are focused on achieving results.
