Which violations in household service centers are most frequently found, BELTA reported to the press service of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART).

MART examined the operations of 13 household service centers and monitored more than 60 facilities providing household services. Violations of the legislation on household services were found in 40% of the facilities. The most common violations were: lack of information about the duration of service provision, the service provider’s phone number, and a copy of the certificate of inclusion in the state information resource “Register of Household Services of Belarus”.

Recommendations for rectifying the violations were issued to the subjects, as well as two directives prohibiting the storage of goods with expired shelf lives (such as nail polish, salt stain remover, etc.).

MART specialists also pointed out the outdated appearance of some household service centers. “When entering, consumers often encounter dim lighting, chaotic signage, cramped spaces that have not changed for decades. In an era when consumers are accustomed to a high level of service, digitization, and aesthetic spaces, this format requires visual changes,” the ministry noted.

As noted by the press service, the relevant information has been sent to the regional executive committees and the Ministry of Regional Development.
