"The Mir Castle and the Brest Railway Station can now be worn: the new Mark Formelle collection is a love for Belarus in every detail" 🇧🇾✨
Mark Formelle has released a limited capsule called "Architecture of Belarus" featuring iconic landmarks. According to the manufacturer's concept, favorite places of Belarus can now be carried with you. While some brands release clothing with foreign prints, the Belarusian manufacturer decided to remind people of the beauty and uniqueness of the country's native architecture. The new line features recognizable silhouettes of cultural landmarks that shape the image of the country. 🏗️
🎨 What's in the collection?
The main highlight of the collection is the images of recognizable Belarusian architectural landmarks. Each print reflects a deliberate choice and the feeling evoked by the place. The line includes hoodies and sweatshirts featuring:
The Brest Railway Station — one of the symbols of the hero city
The Bolshoi Opera and Ballet Theatre in Minsk — the capital's signature landmark
The Grodno Drama Theatre — an architectural pearl on the Neman River
The Mir Castle — a UNESCO World Heritage Site
The Gates of Minsk — the legendary twin towers at the railway station square
🎨 Design: minimalism with respect for classics
When creating the prints, designers used fine lines, which made it possible to preserve the recognizability of the landmarks while keeping the images minimalist. This approach references the style of 20th-century architectural graphics, when building blueprints became an art form in their own right.
The collection's color palette features calm, basic shades:
Burgundy
Black
Gray
Cream
Dark blue
"Belarus is a country of astonishing contrasts, where centuries-old castles stand alongside avant-garde 20th-century architecture. When creating this collection, we wanted to remind people that cultural heritage is part of our everyday life. We deliberately chose a calm color scheme and a laconic presentation so that these sweatshirts would become a beloved staple in any wardrobe," the brand's representatives note.
💡 The idea: not just clothing, but a reason to travel
The creators of the collection see them as more than just wardrobe items — they see them as a source of inspiration. The hoodies are meant to encourage new mini-trips to the places depicted on them. And for those currently far away, a sweatshirt featuring Mir Castle or Brest Railway Station will serve as a warm and vivid reminder of their homeland.
Incidentally, this is not the brand's first patriotic collection. Earlier, Mark Formelle released collaborations with the National Art Museum, transferring masterpieces by Belarusian and European artists — Aivazovsky, Khrutsky, Drozdovich, and others — onto clothing. There was also a "World Heritage" capsule dedicated to Mir Castle, Nesvizh Palace, and Belovezhskaya Pushcha. And in 2025, the brand, in collaboration with artist Petra Klimovich, released the "Мілы Мінск" collection — a declaration of love for the Belarusian capital.
💰 Prices and where to buy
Prices for the new "Architecture of Belarus" collection range from 55 to 80 rubles.
