During a visit to the “Belkommunmash” holding, the President of Belarus assessed the appearance and quality of domestic equipment, reports Belta.

“Some things I see on the streets. Beautiful,” the head of state noted.

Alexander Lukashenko was shown a range of passenger equipment produced by domestic enterprises, including electric buses and a trolleybus operating autonomously.

The president stressed the importance of ensuring unequivocally high quality of the products. “The equipment is beautiful, the design is not bad. When it moves, it’s pleasant to watch, but if there is no quality, we cannot have a conversation. We have a five‑year quality plan,” the Belarusian leader emphasized.

As for exports, it is necessary to fulfill contractual obligations for deliveries promptly and on time.

Another task is the continuation of work on substituting imports for certain components and assemblies. “We are proud that we are a machine‑building country. Let them make it,” the president said.

He drew attention to an important factor – ensuring discipline in production. This directly affects quality. “There should be no discussion about discipline at all. The demand for it will be extremely high. I am watching this very closely,” the president emphasized.

Alexander Lukashenko was briefed on the prospects for developing the “Belkommunmash” holding. It was noted that the equipment is becoming increasingly complex, and consequently more expensive.

The enterprise works not only for the domestic market but is firmly oriented toward export. In some years, up to 98 % of the production was supplied to foreign markets. The current year also expects a positive export trend.
