In Belarus, they plan to give workers the opportunity to purchase the rental housing that enterprises have built for them. Such an instruction was given by Alexander Lukashenko at a meeting on the prospects of housing construction and increasing the efficiency of using rental housing.

The purchase will depend on work experience

As Vice Prime Minister Alexander Terekhov told journalists, the issue of purchasing rental apartments was discussed taking into account the need to retain specialists at specific enterprises.

We are talking specifically about housing that organizations build for their workers. According to the vice prime minister, this year enterprises plan to build about 600 apartments for employees.

An apartment can be purchased after a certain period

The head of state instructed to create a mechanism that would allow an employee, over time, to purchase the rental apartment provided to them.

The condition for this will be a certain length of work at the enterprise that built the housing and provided it to the employee. As possible periods, Alexander Terekhov mentioned 15, 20, or 25 years.

"The head of state has instructed us to create the possibility of purchasing this rental housing after reaching a certain length of work experience," said the vice prime minister.
