President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko congratulated the employees and veterans of the Ministry of Energy on its 25th anniversary. This was announced by the press service of the Belarusian leader.

“This day has become an important milestone in the development of Belarusian statehood. You have been entrusted with the task of ensuring the country’s reliable energy supply, which is one of the components of national security,” the congratulation states.

The head of state noted that over a quarter of a century domestic energy has undergone a radical transformation: generation capacities and grid infrastructure have been upgraded, and the gas and fuel sectors are developing. “The historic decision was the construction of the Belarusian nuclear power plant, which helped strengthen the state’s sovereignty,” he emphasized.

The president noted that behind all the achievements are the professionalism and responsibility of the ministry’s staff, who not only successfully solve today’s tasks but also develop the republic’s energy strategy for decades ahead.

“I would like to express special gratitude to the veterans whose work laid a solid foundation for the energy system of independent Belarus,” added Alexander Lukashenko.

The head of state wished them robust health, prosperity, and new achievements in the name of the future of his beloved country.
