Tax authorities together with the Department of Financial Investigations of the State Control Committee revealed large-scale tax evasion schemes in private medical centers in Gomel and Vitebsk, reported gp.by to the Ministry of Taxes and Collections.
Gomel Dental Clinic concealed revenue totaling more than five million rubles
Among the main violation schemes is business fragmentation (Gomel). The owner of the dental clinic artificially divided its activities between two subordinate organizations to apply a simplified taxation system. Over two years, the volume of hidden revenue amounted to over 5 million rubles.
Another scheme - "active button" (Vitebsk). Founders of the medical center jointly with a programmer developed special software. Upon pressing the "secret" button, cash revenue was not recorded in the cash register control system and did not enter tax reporting. Clients were issued receipts printed on a separate printer that were not accounted for by the accounting department.
"Part of the hidden funds was directed to paying gray wages. Employees, entering payments in fictitious registers, deprived themselves of full social guarantees, sick leave pay and future pensions," noted the State Control Committee.
As a result of control measures, criminal cases were initiated regarding facts of tax evasion on a particularly large scale. Arrests were made on property and monetary assets of the suspects totaling over 3 million rubles. Founders, directors and accountants gave confession statements and compensated the damage caused to the state.
"The Ministry of Taxes and Collections reminds: modern data analysis methods and interdepartmental interaction make any revenue concealment schemes transparent for controlling bodies. We urge citizens to exercise vigilance and not agree to unofficial payments, while economic subjects - work exclusively within the legal framework," emphasized the State Control Committee.
