A train station is the "face" of any city, as it is where visitors' acquaintance with the town begins. In the district center, this important social object has long needed an update. In September, a large-scale modernization of the building's facade and more began here. The head of production unit No. 1 of the branch "Bus Station No. 3" of OAO "Gomeloblavtotrans", Alexander Primak, spoke about the current stage of the repair work and what else is planned to be done.

According to Alexander Nikolaevich, the scope of the planned work is quite impressive. It is to be completed by December of this year. Currently, the builders have already completed the roof repair, completely replacing the old window blocks with modern glass packs. Now, the main forces are focused inside the building. In the waiting hall, work is in full swing: the walls are being sheathed with drywall, a suspended ceiling will also be installed, and new tiles will be laid on the floor. As part of the project, the replacement of all door blocks is also provided.

Special attention is being paid to the functionality of the premises. A comfortable rest room for drivers will appear here, as well as two separate rooms that will be rented out in the future, which will allow for more efficient use of the bus station's areas.

The modernization has also affected the "hidden" part of the building - the engineering communications. The heating system has been completely updated, and the sewage system will now be connected to the central network.

The facade is also being transformed: the exterior walls are being insulated and faced with modern ceramic granite, which will give the object an aesthetic and modern look. The canopy on the platform will also be updated: the ceiling will be lined to make waiting for transport more comfortable in any weather.

In a week, the builders will start landscaping the adjacent territory. The project involves large-scale work: replacing the curb stone, laying new paving stones and asphalt, and coating the area. This will make boarding and disembarking passengers more convenient and safe.

Despite the repairs, the bus station continues to perform its main function - providing transport links. Currently, the enterprise serves 4 intercity, 18 suburban, and one city route. Almost 90 flights depart from the bus station every week, connecting Loev with other towns.

The modernization of the bus station is not just a repair, but the creation of a quality environment for residents and guests of the district center. The updated facility will become an important link in the region's transport system, providing comfort and reliability for passenger transportation.
