An 80th birthday was celebrated by residents of the village of Ryzhkov, Nadezhda Mikhalkenko and Lyubov Pikul. Both women dedicated their lives to working in the agricultural industry of the Bragin region. Nadezhda Alekseevna managed the farm in Ryzhkov for 40 years, and Lyubov Aleksandrovna worked there as a milker for 36 years. They began their careers in the "Chyrvony Kastrichnik" collective farm, which is now the "Imeni Zhukova" Joint-Stock Company.

The veterans were congratulated by Lyubov Derkach, chairperson of the regional organization of the Belarusian Association of Veterans, and Yulia Syroparova, chief economist of the agricultural enterprise.

The guests presented the birthday celebrants with flowers and gifts, and also wished them strong health, long life, prosperity, and family warmth in the circle of their children and grandchildren.
