Previously, there were hills here, in the Khodjaabad district, but now the Andijan Technopark operates. Having familiarized himself with the region's experience in supporting innovation and developing the IT sector, Alexey Kushnarenko, Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, visited this large industrial site.

On the technopark's territory of 100 hectares, it is planned to locate 51 industrial enterprises. About 300 million dollars of foreign investment has been attracted to create the industrial zone. After the technopark reaches full capacity, they plan to create about 3,000 jobs and launch production of more than 50 types of products.

One of the already implemented projects is an enterprise created jointly with the Chinese company Sanchuan. Here they produce intelligent water meters. Their main task is to promote more rational water consumption.

— Is there a technical possibility to cut off the water supply, for example, if people stop paying for it? — clarified the Chairman of the Regional Executive Committee to the manufacturer.
— Yes, that is possible, — explained the company's director. — Moreover, if an accident occurs, the meter owner will receive a notification about it.

The project cost is 25 million dollars, and its capacity

Construction is scheduled for 2025–2027, so construction equipment is currently working on the site and lifting cranes have been installed. The enterprise plans to create about 100 jobs.

Thus, in the industrial infrastructure of Andijan Oblast, projects in the sphere of high-tech production and ecological infrastructure are simultaneously developing — from digital accounting of water resources to the energy use of household waste.
