During a working visit to Uzbekistan, Alexei Kushnarenko, Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee, familiarized himself with the work of the Special Industrial Hub for Machine Building and Electrical Engineering in the Andijan Region.

The industrial complex, established in 2021, is one of the key regional sites for localizing high-tech manufacturing. Covering an area of 105 hectares, it features modern infrastructure offering residents special tax, customs, and currency preferences.

Enterprises operating here span various industries, from auto components and foundry work to textiles.

Among the region's young industrial enterprises is KOVA Foundry, founded three years ago. This modern foundry and mechanical production facility operates a full cycle. The company produces cast iron items and special alloys, and performs mechanical processing of components for the automotive industry, agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, and power generation. The company has already established cooperative ties with the Belarusian MTZ.

Alexei Kushnarenko asked representatives of KOVA Foundry if the company cooperates with AMKODOR, whose enterprises are located in the Minsk Region.

"Yes, we made our presence known last year," said one of the company's managers.

The Chairman of the Minsk Regional Executive Committee promised to facilitate further contacts between the enterprises on his side.

The automotive sector in the Andijan Region is also represented by KWANGJIN AUTOSYSTEMS, a joint venture specializing in the production of components and accessories for vehicles. The company has been operating in the Andijan district since 2012. Its founders include the South Korean KWANGJIN MACHINE CO. LTD and the company "O‘zavtosanoat".

Another important direction for Uzbekistan is the deep processing of local cotton raw materials. The company ECO COTTON produces knitted products from local raw materials.

Notably, alongside seamstresses, a robot performs one of the production operations here. The sewing machines are also equipped with artificial intelligence elements that allow for quality control of the work performed.

The project has received an investment of $10 million, creating 1,000 permanent jobs. The enterprise's production capacity is 9.4 million units of 30 product types per year, and its export potential is estimated at $10.5 million. The products are supplied, in particular, to Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Romania, and Moldova.

Overall, the hub's investment strategy through 2026 envisages launching initiatives worth about $170 million. This will create over 2,000 new jobs.

Another area is the production of equipment for heating systems. MIRADO specializes in manufacturing radiators, which Alexey Kushnarenko also visited.
