At the INNOPROM. Belarus exhibition, the chairman of the regional executive committee Ivan Krupko met with the head of the Sakha Republic (Yakutia) Aisen Nikolayev.

Ivan Krupko noted that the Gomel region is ready to offer Russian partners products from enterprises in a wide range, from industrial goods to food supplies. Currently, several enterprises of Gomel region are making direct deliveries to Yakutia.

"I hope that in the near future we will be able to expand the range of our trade relations. We have many areas for cooperation. We are ready to discuss prospects and are interested in ensuring that the traditional ties we have develop even more actively."

In particular, they discussed partnership in diamond processing, milking equipment production, tourism and health, sports, education, youth policy, and preservation of historical memory.

The head of the Sakha Republic, Aisen Nikolayev, noted the steady expansion of partnership ties between Yakutia and the Gomel region:

"Gomel region is one of the most developed industrial regions of Belarus. We see significant potential for increasing supplies of Gomselmash agricultural machinery, other industrial products, and foodstuffs. Certainly, points of contact will be found in the implementation of joint projects in the jewelry industry."

The Belarusian and Yakut peoples carefully preserve the memory of the Great Patriotic War. Their shared interest in history will also serve as a basis for joint cultural and humanitarian projects.

The chairman of the regional executive committee, Ivan Krupko, invited the Yakut delegation to participate in the Gomel Economic Forum, which will take place in May 2027.
