In communication with journalists on the eve of the regional Дожинок, chairman of the regional executive committee Ivan Krupko noted that in recent years our region has confidently threshed more than a million tons of grain from cereals and rapeseed oilseeds.

– Thanks to corn grain we plan to approach last year's total harvest. In the last two years the region has not only fully provided the livestock industry with its own grain, but also created a carryover stock for the next year, – emphasized the head of the region.

An excellent result was achieved in rapeseed harvesting. The gross harvest of oilseeds showed steady growth, and the yield on the best plots surpassed records of previous years. In total, 144.4 thousand tons of rapeseed oilseeds were obtained, which is twice last year's volume.
