The large electric liftback S7, a Forthing brand (which belongs to the Dongfeng Motor conglomerate), was first showcased at the Beijing Auto Show in the spring of 2024. After more than two years, the vehicle has made its way to Belarus, gaining the word Evo in its name in the process. The importer of the brand in our country has revealed the variants and prices, while also clarifying the characteristics for our region.

In terms of size, the S7 Evo can easily be classified as an E-segment vehicle: with a wheelbase of 2915 mm, the liftback measures 4935 mm in length, 1915 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height. This is reflected in the cabin dimensions: the width at the level of the second-row passengers' shoulders is 1460 mm, and the distance from the knees to the backrest is 270 mm. The trunk volume, including the additional compartment under the floor, is 705 liters according to the VDA standard, and when the rear sofa is folded, the capacity increases to 1785 liters.

During the model's debut at the Beijing Auto Show, it was presented by chief designer Christoph Zarlenga.

The aerodynamically refined design, created under the guidance of Christoph Zarlenga, is also impressive: the Cx coefficient is only 0.191. Thanks to this, among other things, it was possible to achieve a low energy consumption (claimed to be 11.9 kWh per 100 km). The range is 565 km according to the CLTC, and this is despite the fact that the S7 Evo is equipped with a relatively small-capacity battery - 59.4 kWh. Fast charging from 30 to 80% takes 28 minutes. It is claimed that the battery has a preheating function, as well as multi-layer protection against mechanical damage, ignition, and short circuits in the event of impacts.

The Mach E electric motor is located on the rear axle and produces 218 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque. The vehicle accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and the top speed is 165 km/h.

Among the model's equipment, it is worth noting the FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) system for managing adaptive shock absorbers, which recognizes the road profile in real-time and automatically changes the suspension stiffness. The vehicle also features a seamless panoramic roof, 3650 mm long, which combines the windshield and rear glass into a single "glass dome". It is claimed that the multi-layer glazing retains up to 99% of ultraviolet radiation and maintains a comfortable microclimate.

The importer of the Forthing brand in Belarus has announced that the S7 Evo will be available in several trim levels, with prices starting from a certain amount. The exact prices and trim levels will be announced later.

As can be seen from the price list published on the importer's website, the car is available in two trim levels. The standard Exclusive trim, priced at 71,900 rubles, includes climate control, keyless access and engine start, a 15.6-inch multimedia system screen, a panoramic roof, ambient interior lighting, wireless smartphone charging, ESP, cruise control, and a tire pressure monitoring system TPMS. At the same time, the base trim only includes front airbags and a single rearview camera.

The Elite version, priced at 77,900 rubles, additionally includes front side airbags, rear parking sensors, a 360-degree view system with a "transparent" chassis function, tinted rear windows, front seats with electric adjustment (the driver's seat has memory settings), heating, and ventilation.
