The large electric liftback S7 was first shown by the Forthing brand (which belongs to the Dongfeng Motor concern) at the Beijing Auto Show in spring 2024. More than two years later, the car has reached Belarus, gaining the word Evo in its name along the way. The brand's importer in our country has revealed trim levels and prices, and also clarified specifications for our region.

By its dimensions, the S7 Evo can easily be classified as E-segment: with a wheelbase of 2915 mm, the liftback measures 4935 mm in length, 1915 mm in width, and 1495 mm in height. This is also reflected in the cabin dimensions: shoulder room for second-row passengers is 1460 mm, and knee clearance to the seatback is 270 mm. The trunk volume, including the additional underfloor compartment, is 705 liters according to the VDA standard, and with the rear seat folded, capacity increases to 1785 liters.

At the model's debut at the Beijing Auto Show, it was presented by chief designer Christopher Zarlenga.

The aerodynamically refined design, created under the leadership of Christopher Zarlenga, is also impressive: the drag coefficient Cx is just 0.191. This, among other things, helped achieve low energy consumption (claimed at 11.9 kWh per 100 km). The range is 565 km according to CLTC, and this despite the S7 Evo being equipped with a relatively small battery capacity of 59.4 kWh. Fast charging from 30% to 80% takes 28 minutes. It is stated that the battery has a preheating function and is also equipped with multi-layer protection against mechanical damage, fire, and short circuits in the event of impacts.

The Mach E electric motor is located on the rear axle and produces 218 hp and 310 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.7 seconds, and the top speed is 165 km/h.

Among the equipment, it is worth noting the FSD (Frequency Selective Damping) adaptive shock absorber control system, which recognizes the road profile in real time and automatically changes suspension stiffness. The car also features a seamless panoramic roof 3650 mm long: it combines the windshield and rear window into a single "glass dome." It is claimed that the multi-layer glazing blocks up to 99% of ultraviolet radiation and maintains a comfortable microclimate.

According to the price list published on the importer's website, the car is available in two trim levels. Standard equipment for the Exclusive trim, priced at 71,900 rubles, includes climate control, keyless entry and start, a 15.6-inch multimedia system screen, a panoramic roof, ambient interior lighting, wireless smartphone charging, ESP, cruise control, and a TPMS tire pressure monitoring system. At the same time, the base trim only has front airbags and just one rear-view camera.

The Elite version, priced at 77,900 rubles, additionally includes front side airbags, rear parking sensors, a surround-view camera system with a "transparent" chassis feature, tinted rear windows, and front seats with power adjustment (driver's seat with memory settings), heating, and ventilation.
