The large investment project at OOO "Milchnye Gorki" has been completed. Today, September 11th, a new dairy factory with a capacity of 20 tons per day opened here. In the future, production volumes are planned to be doubled, according to sb.by. The goal of the project, which began in 2023 and consisted of several batches, is technical modernization of cheese production and expansion of the product range. According to Mogulskaya Oblyssky Committee chairman Anatoly Isachenko, this is not only an individual production facility, but also investments and new jobs:
— This production keeps pace with time, and the enterprise itself develops in step with time. Everything that you produce is in demand. It is in demand not only in the Republic of Belarus, but far beyond as well. It is pleasant and rewarding that the enterprise is engaged not only in producing or processing milk, but also actively investing resources in the development of its raw material zone. Because it is impossible to produce products without raw materials. And I consider this fundamental. Therefore, I thank them for their attention to the development of agriculture, which they provide. This is not only those enterprises that they have taken over or hold shares in there. Essentially, it is all of the Goretsky district and this raw material zone. And every producer should first and foremost think about the development of their own raw material zone.
The total investment costs for the investment project amounted to more than 35 million rubles, part of which consists of the own funds of the processing enterprise, part borrowed. As a result of implementing the project, it is planned to increase cheese production from 2 thousand tons in 2025 to 7.2 thousand tons, with revenue growth expected to reach 120 million rubles, including an export growth of 40 million dollars, notes OOO "Milchnye Gorki" director Alexander Rivkin:
— The commissioning of the new dairy factory will allow replacing less profitable products with higher-margin ones and increase revenue. We carried out reconstruction: the project started in 2023, ended in 2026. Its commissioning will allow earning additional money and further developing. The project was financed through borrowed funds, banks provided us with loans, plus we had our own funds, as well as participation in the "Regional Initiative" program. The products we will be producing are most in demand on the current Russian market, and are also being developed for other markets, particularly Uzbekistan. This will be plug cheese in the "Eurasian block" format.
The plant director noted that to produce additional output, additional raw material will need to be attracted:
— Today we are driven not by our ideas but by competition. Therefore, we must continue to develop and earn profit. Currently, the plant processes about 350–360 tons of milk per day. However, further increase will be necessary. The maximum capacity, taking into account the launch of the new cheese workshop and its subsequent expansion to 40 tons, will amount to 720 tons per day.
The task facing Gorky District is to fully supply raw materials to OAO Molokanye Gorki. Chairman of the Gorky District Executive Committee Nikolai Orlenok emphasized that the construction of the workshop is another step in the development not only of Gorky District but also of Mogilev Region:
