MogilevNEWS.by 22.09.2026 During the summer period of 2026, 735 health camps operated in the Mogilev region, including 541 day camps and 194 with round-the-clock stay. In total, 448,834 people received health improvement using state funds, which amounted to 101.7 percent of the plan. This was reported by the Mogilev regional department of the Republican Center for Health Improvement and Sanatorium-Resort Treatment of the Population.

In day camps, more than 28.5 thousand schoolchildren (58.5%) were given health improvement, and about 20.2 thousand in round-the-clock camps. In 67 stationary camps, about 16 thousand people rested; in 74 non-mobile and 53 mobile tent camps, about 2.6 thousand and 1.6 thousand, respectively. There were also 450 day educational and health camps operating on the basis of educational institutions, where more than 22.7 thousand people rested.

During the summer period, 123 sports and health camps operated in the region, including 32 with round-the-clock stay and 91 with day stay. A total of 6,711 pupils from various sports institutions of the region combined recreation with the training process, including 5,853 in day camps and 858 in round-the-clock camps, with stays of 15, 12, and 9 days.

The health improvement of orphans and children with disabilities was under special control. In the round-the-clock camps "Kosmos", "Bobrenok-2010", "Mechta", and "Ptich", pupils of boarding schools with special psychophysical development, orphans, and children left without parental care received health improvement. In total, during the summer period, 1,750 orphans and 728 disabled children with varying degrees of health loss underwent health improvement without the accompaniment of legal representatives.

The average cost of a voucher to a stationary educational and health camp was 660 rubles, and to a stationary sports and health camp — 718 rubles.

According to operational data, more than 2.5 million rubles were allocated this year for the preparation of stationary camps from all sources, including 76,400 rubles from the republican budget, 1,888,000 rubles from local budgets, and more than 570,000 rubles from camp owners.

During the 2026 summer health campaign, camps operated actively across various profiles and areas of activity. For winners of republican and regional subject Olympiads and highly motivated students, a regional specialized residential camp "Olympiets" was organized (100 participants). In all areas of the region, work in this direction was organized on the basis of general secondary and supplementary education institutions. Labor and recreation camps traditionally operated. A total of 154 such camps were organized, in which 2,070 schoolchildren combined useful work and recreation. The children worked in the sowing fields of agricultural cooperatives, workshops of educational institutions, and state forestry enterprises, and were engaged in landscaping. A special place in the organization of specialized camps was occupied by military-patriotic educational and health camps.

First of all, camps based on military units, units of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Ministry of Emergency Situations attract increased interest. Such camps were organized in all regions. Over the summer, 2,693 people visited 72 such camps.

In health camps, conditions were created for safe stays, preserving and strengthening children's health, fostering patriotism, and developing the creative and intellectual potential of the individual.

All camps held events and unit activities dedicated to the Year of the Belarusian Woman, which was reflected in implemented projects, flash mobs, and competitions. Camps also hosted events within the framework of the information and educational campaign "Step to Success," aimed at forming civic and patriotic consciousness. Guests told the children about their personal and professional development, how to achieve success in life, and how to build their own development trajectory.

The occupancy rate of residential health camps during the summer period was 98.9% of available capacity. The camps organized in the summer period of 2026 made it possible to fully satisfy all applications from those wishing to undergo health improvement in camps of various types.
