A solid foundation has been laid for developing multifaceted relations between Belarus and Vietnam, spanning from economics and trade to humanitarian projects.

A comprehensive review of high-level agreements was made possible by the official visit of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus to the Socialist Republic. On October 29, the focus of the Belarusian delegation's work was on industrial cooperation and regional potential.

Strengthening Strategic Partnership Hung Yen is one of the country's most developed provinces. It is only about fifty kilometers from the capital, Hanoi, to the provincial center of the same name. The region aims to accelerate economic growth, with a particular emphasis on industry.

Belarus is open to partnership. There is no need to go far for "successful cases." A joint Belarusian-Vietnamese enterprise with a high degree of localization operates in the region. An agreement to cooperate was reached about 10 years ago. The enterprise, operating in two shifts, is capable of producing up to 3,000 vehicles per year. The assembly of various MAZ models has been established.

In the future, a wider range of domestic machinery could be produced here. Tractors of the BELARUS brand are of particular interest. Prototype units will be shown at the upcoming exhibition.

Cooperation with Vietnam's Regions We are also ready to bring new competencies to the region and train engineers. The leadership of the province discussed the entire spectrum of issues. For the Chairman of the People's Committee, Nguyen Manh Cuena, Belarus is a country that makes a strong impression. He had previously been in Minsk, which he recalls warmly. Personal experience always helps find new points of contact, and there are more than enough between Belarus and Vietnam. From industry to healthcare, including the supply of Belarusian medicines.

Alexander Starovoytov, Deputy Minister of Health of Belarus:

"Vietnam does not produce that many pharmaceutical products itself. Our country produces about 1,700 drugs, both in terms of names and dosages. Therefore, we have a lot to offer today. The Vietnamese side was also interested in antibiotics, antitumor drugs, and many other things that we can offer Vietnam today."
