Individuals in Belarus have sold $1.817 billion more currency than they bought since the beginning of the year.

In September, individuals in Belarus sold $206.9 million more foreign currency than they bought, and since the beginning of the year — $1.817 billion. This was reported by BELTA in the press service of the National Bank.

Individuals in Belarus remain net sellers of foreign currency. The total volume of foreign currency purchased by the population in cash and non‑cash form in September amounted to $1.107 billion, while the volume sold was $1.314 billion.

Belarus‑resident companies were net buyers of foreign currency in September. Over the month they purchased currency worth $676.6 million more in equivalent than they sold. The total volume of foreign currency purchased by legal entities in September amounted to $3.613 billion, while the volume sold was $2.937 billion. Overall, for January–September, the net purchase of foreign currency by legal entities amounted to $1.572 billion.
